DONNA CARMICHAEL: I have been working over a year finalizing a loan w/FLD out of
San Francisco, CA. To date, they have taken over $4100 from me and no loan given.
They pursued me over and over and over daily until I decided to go with them. I first asked for $5000 and they informed me that $35K was the minimum limit. I then just popped and said $70K.
They said fine and we started the money, money, money via Ebay cards. I have had several loud shouting matches with supposedly the manager, Mark.
Today was the final straw, as he got $1000 from me via Ebay cards and was supposed to wire transfer funds into my bank. He then called and says he has to have another $500 or it will go to charity.
I explained to him very loudly, I might add, that he had made me a charity case by stealing all of my money. I am living on retirement and social security.
He seems to know when I have money, and when I do not. I fully realize that I have been scammed, but the price keeps going up. He informed me today that $92K was to be the amount funded.
I have been trying to buy a home for myself and 5 dogs/5 cats. Have you ever tried to rent a place with so many rescued animals? To make a long story short, he is waiting until the 15th until I can get my hands on another $500. Name me “Stupid No. 1″….. I cannot find FastLoan Direct on BBB in San Francisco or even listed as a storefront.
Be careful…. don’t ruin your life like I did. I came out with $6 in my pocket after everything was taken out today. At least my dogs got their food…..
ANNA SALAS: How long ago did this happen to you? I have been talking to Jim Knight. Is he the manager of Fast Loan Direct, Nicasio, CA? Just want protection from being scammed. Thanks.
SANDI: I am with Donna DO NOT deal with them. They are scammers. They take the money and you will never get it back. First red flag you pay with gift cards. Been had and learned a hard lesson.
HAROLD KELLER: I am about to leave for Walmart where i am to pick up a $4000 loan in cash. However I am leery since they say I have to have $200 in cash to buy PPI insurance.
I told the agent ( Calvin) who seems to be a very nice person( but aren’t they all)that I had been subjected to a variety of similar scams with a very similar scenario where instead of buying insurance i had to pay “registration fee” with gift cards, or other.
The only real difference here is that i am to use cash rather than buy a gift card. he assured me that I would not have to give up the $200 until I received the loan proceeds. We will see. I hope they are legit.
JIM ROGERS: Wait they asked for gift cards and payments before they actually gave you the loan? Um… why in the freaking world would you do that??
I mean in all due respect it breaks my heart that they prey on the elderly like sharks so I think the best way to deal with these A-holes is to catchthem and throw them in a salt water pool with a bunch of starved great whites.
But if anyone hears of scammers doing this especially to older people please step in and help out.
JODECI: 99 percent of the time if a so called loan company asks you to send cash so that you can get cash its a scam. I had to learn the hard way some years ago not through these people but another.
GILBERTO LUCERO: I filled out application and nothing happened. Need to speak to someone regarding my ap. Please contact me.

Is Fast loan Direct legit company?
Fast Loans is not licensed by DFI to conduct the business of a consumer lender. DFI could not verify the identity or contact information for the company and it appears to be a fictitious, illegitimate business entity.
How do I know if a loan company is legitimate?
- Check for contact information. A lender’s phone number, email address and physical address should be readily available on the website, even if it’s an online-only lender.
- Investigate online reviews.
- Look at the Better Business Bureau.
- Make sure it’s registered.
What do I do if I get scammed by a loan company?
If you’ve been the victim of a loan scam or personal loan fraud, contact your local law enforcement as soon as possible. Notify, also, your state attorney general and the FBI (if the company was from another state or country). The Federal Trade Commission and Better Business Bureau also will be helpful allies.
What happens to unpaid online loans?
When you fail to pay your EMI on the online loan, the lender will send you an intimation about the amount due to be paid. You can then repay the loan with a penalty as prescribed by the lender. Failing to pay continuously for more than 6 months will make the lender write off your account.
